BUNK BEDS

Nick did it!  He finished the beds (at least for now).  We have another bed to put on top of Havanna's single twin, but we'll save that addition for quite some time.  For now, Havanna gets her own bed.  Berlyn is happily tucked away in her bottom cave.  Talullah is in absolute heaven being on the top bunk.  For the first time, Talullah has a space to call her very own, and she is CLAIMING it.  She's been suddenly wanting 'alone time' (Me too, Miss T.  Me too.)  Now, she has personal space where she can go, and her sisters can only come if invited.  It makes me sad when Berlyn wants to climb that ladder so bad but can't, but I understand that they all need to feel like they have a special place to call their own, especially since everything else in the world is shared between the three of them.  Often, though, she does call Berlyn up to play with her.  And then my heart is happy.

One step forward, two steps back

As I've discussed in past posts, the binkie sucking (turned thumb sucking, turned finger sucking) habit with Berlyn has been an ongoing obstacle that we're working on.  We're still working on it.  It seems to be much better as long as we keep the STOP nail polish on her nails.  And Talullah's nails.  And now Havanna's nails.  If she finds a finger that does not taste awful, it's in her mouth.  Well.... Havanna, who has not been a finger sucker, seems to be picking up the habit.  I came into my room and found the three girls like this.  Berlyn was sucking on Havanna's finger.  Havanna was sucking on Talullah's finger.  The three girls were just hanging out, totally content until Nick and I walked in the room.  What a bunch of weirdos!!!

Havanna has a problem.

She's not even TWO and she is a fanatic about anything electronic.  The Kindle, my phone, sisters LeapPad.  She's a junkie.  And the thing that amazes me... she can use each one to some extent without any help.  She figures out features on my new phone that I haven't even discovered yet.  We typically do not allow the girls very much 'screen' time, but when we do... this little one is a master mind.
