It's a Princess Party!

As far as parties go, this one is my favorite yet.  For Talullah's 4th birthday, we had a princess party held at Uncle Nate and Aunt Dallass' house.  Belle showed up to sing and dance with the girls, and they took turns having their faces painted.  There was craft time for the little princesses to make their own wands, and a castle pinata full of little princess toys.  I absolutely loved seeing all the little girls in their gowns and fancy shoes.  Dallass and I even put on our brave faces and donned some fancy attire.  Thank God she doesn't have a full length mirror in her house.  Had I been able to see myself entirely, I never would have had the courage to be seen in public.  Oh, what a wonderful time we all had.  Days like this make me extra glad to be a mother to THREE little girls.  I'm already making mental notes for what the next party will entail.  I love it.  Thank you to all of our friends and family who helped to make this birthday so special for my little girl.  Life without loved ones would be so dull!

It's just what I always wanted.

Always, meaning it's just what I wanted the moment I knew it existed two minutes ago.  It's baby Cinderella, and Talullah is In. Love.  She held her up for the camera and said, "I just want to love her, mom."  She had to take out the dolls ponytail so that it could hang long, just like hers.  Twins, don't you think?

Nana Banana

Nana.  Or, Nana Banana Strawberry, as the girls like to call her.  It's a game they play.  Nana will say, "I'm not a Nana Banana Strawberry!!!", and the girls will just crack up like it's the funniest thing ever.

FLUSH

I was loading everything/everybody into the car, and I couldn't find Berlyn and Havanna.  Flush.  I heard a giggle and a 'Good job, 'Vanna!"  Berlyn was instructing Havanna on how to flush the toilet.  And Havanna was happily becoming a pro.  Good team work, girls.  Now... out of the bathroom!

Papa Time

Today is my mom and dad's 36th year anniversary!  What an amazing couple.  They are still giddy like school kids on the playground, holding hands and making goo-goo eyes and one another.  They're best friends.  I am so happy that I've had a wonderful example to look up to for what marriage can and should look like.  I've never seen my parents scream at each other.  I've never heard them curse at one another.  They bicker, of course, like every other human being.  But they daily display sincere love in their words and in their actions.  I love my parents dearly.  I can't imagine not having the close relationship that we share, and I'm blessed to live just minutes away from them so that my girls can soak up all of the love and affection that 'Papa and Nana' pour into them.  Happy Anniversary!
As a side note, my dad stopped by and took the girls into our hot tub.  After an hour I had to force them all to climb out.  I was able to get all of the cookie dough made for our cookie decorating party tomorrow!  Hooray!

It's DELICIOUS!

One of the big girls must have handed Havanna an unopened, frozen gogurt during snack time.  I noticed she had one, and my thought was that the cold tube must feel nice on her little teeth.  I did not think, however. that those little teeth would break through the wrapping and make a nice, slimy mess on my just mopped floor.  Once I noticed that, of course, I still just kept cooking dinner.  Cleaning a mess is much easier than calming a screaming baby.  If she's happy, I'm happy.

Nice Try

I thought, since it's a new year and all, we'd see if Berlyn wanted to join Talullah in gymnastics.  Boy, did she look so sweet in her pigtails and leotard.  She seemed excited about it, too.  She ran right out with the other kids as they took laps, acting out animals sounds.  About ten seconds in I think someone might have bumped into Berlyn.  Or maybe she bumped into someone.  She burst into tears and came running back to her momma.  We learned that today is not the day for her to begin classes.  I'm taking a wild guess and saying next week probably won't work either.  You'd better believe that I'm going to keep on trying, though.  Soon enough I'll have TWO big girls contained for an entire hour (55 minutes, anyway), and... who knows.  Maybe I'll grab a cup of coffee, or something.  With just one baby on my lap.  Ahhhh.  A mother can dream, can't she?
